Zelensky Rejects Draft US Minerals Deal, Says It Fails to Protect Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the draft US minerals deal is not yet ready, arguing that it does not adequately protect Ukraine’s interests. The agreement, which aims to secure Ukraine’s vast mineral resources for Western supply chains, remains under negotiation as Kyiv pushes for better terms.

Zelensky’s comments highlight ongoing tensions over Ukraine’s role in global resource markets and its economic security amid the ongoing war. Further revisions to the deal are expected as discussions continue between Ukraine and the United States.
